We’re downtown

Our facility is open to the public during regular business hours. Come see us at 10 Memorial Lane in Stoningon. We are up the hill from the Stonington Opera House and across the street from the Ball Field. If traveling on foot from downtown, take the path up Pink Street behind Boyce’s Motel.

From the Executive Director

This place. Once a school teeming with Island children navigating their way through adolescence, now a beloved community organization that has served Deer Isle-Stonington for over 20 years. The Island Community Center lives by our mission to offer opportunities for well-being – socially, emotionally, and physically. We offer social connections by providing a space for gathering and support. We offer a Fitness Center and gymnasium that help all ages attain health goals. We watch children as they learn new skills and discover they can face and conquer their fears. We witness seniors share their joy in seeing each other. It isn’t always about the activity, but rather the coming together to learn or share something. Being at the end of a peninsula, this Island can seem isolating. Barriers to well-being often feel too high to overcome – but here we are, making it happen for all generations.

We hope to see you soon!
