Camp Kooky Summer Camp
About Camp Kooky
Join us for our annual day camp, full of summer fun and Island adventure. Typical days at Camp Kooky include outdoor activities and games, art lessons with Explorations Learning Center, hikes with Island Heritage Trust, swim lessons at the YMCA in Blue Hill, story time with the Stonington Public Library, Zumba classes, and so much more.
In partnership with Deer Isle – Stonington Elementary School we provide Extended Year Services to those students who qualify.

8 am – 4 pm
Price
$150 per session
10% discount for multi-child families
Scholarships considered upon request

Camp Counselors
Jo Sullivan
Camp Director
Jo Sullivan is an Ed Tech at Deer Isle – Stonington Elementary School. She and her husband live in Deer Isle. Her greatest joy is her family – children and grandchildren alike. Jo has been with Camp Kooky since its inception in 2003.
Maria Duddy
Lead Counselor
Maria Duddy is an Ed Tech at Deer Isle – Stonington Elementary School. She and her husband live in Sedgwick and own a construction business. They enjoy trips to Disney as often as possible. Maria has been with Camp Kooky since 2017.
We are always looking to fill counselor positions, including Lead Counselors, Junior Counselors, and youth volunteers in training. If you’re interested in joining the Camp Kooky team, contact the Island Community Center.
Scholarship fund
Anne’s Scholarship Fund is named after the late Anne Billings Foster who came up with our name Camp Kooky. The scholarship funds give all children an opportunity to experience summer camp. Our hope is that anyone can enjoy Camp Kooky, regardless of financial ability.
