Café
The Café provides a great gathering space for meet-ups, whether it’s welcoming seniors for coffee or hosting weekly AA meetings. The Café also includes a fully-licensed commercial kitchen. We welcome visitors to drop-in and enjoy our selection of games and puzzles (suggested $3 donation per person).

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center opened at the Island Community Center in 2022. This newest addition is located behind the gymnasium on the former stage. Membership is required to use the space, which includes brand new cardio equipment and free weights. Drop-in rates available.

Food Pantry
The Island Food Pantry, an independent non-profit organization, is located in the basement of the Island Community Center and can be accessed from the rear parking lot.

Greenlaw Room
The Greenlaw Room provides beautiful light for meetings, classes, or smaller parties. This space has been home to many weekly exercise classes, including yoga and belly dancing. We welcome visitors to drop-in and enjoy the Greenlaw Room (suggested $3 donation per person).

Gymnasium
The Gymnasium is a beloved space in the Island Community Center. The gym is frequently utilized by Fitness Center members, youth sports programs, community walkers, or families escaping the elements. It’s also regularly rented for private parties. We welcome visitors to drop-in. Some equipment is provided or bring your own (suggested $3 donation per person)!

Long-term Rentals
The Island Community Center offers long-term rental space to community members. The downstairs portion of the building is currently home to multiple artists, including a designer and ceramicist. All rentals are occupied at this time.

Outdoor Space
The festivities of the Island Community Center often spill outside. Summer welcomes the Stonington Farmers’ Market and concerts to the parking lot, while WinterFest utilizes the space in the winter. The Town of Stonington also manages a public playground that sits alongside the parking lot and is a favorite spot for local and visiting families.

Come Visit!
Our facility is open to the public during regular business hours. Come see us at 10 Memorial Lane in Stoningon. We are up the hill from the Stonington Opera House and across the street from the Ball Field. If traveling on foot from downtown, take the path up Pink Street behind Boyce’s Motel.


warming center
From November – April, The Island Community Center serves as a warming center when local power is out for more than six hours. Doors will be open for charging devices, gathering, and staying warm. Snacks, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa are available.
