Exercise Classes

The Island Community Center has partnered with local fitness instructors to offer the following group exercise classes. Class fees may apply and are handled directly by the class instructor.

Basic Belly Dance

Tuesdays, 5:30pm – 7pm

Learn essential technique & movement vocabulary of this fluid, core-strengthening dance. $15 drop-in or $50/month (four-class card). For more information or to register, contact helena@daturanightbloom.com or (207) 722-3091.

Kathy’s Exercise class

On Summer Break

Join instructor Kathy O’Rourke for 40 minutes of fun breathing, movement, and stretching. This class is for most levels of ability and accommodations can be made for those who need to sit for the duration. $3 per class per person. Buy a five-week session and pay $10 (that’s $2 per class!). Limited equipment is available. Please bring your own weights and mat if able.

Yoga with Julianne

Power Flow: Saturday at 9am

Gentle Flow: Saturday at 10:15am

Join instructor Julianne for vinyasa style movement classes cultivating mobility, flexibility, balance, and strength. All levels are welcome. Please bring a mat. $20 per class or $75 five-class pack. First class only $10! Contact Julianne with questions: julianne@jharrisart.com

Fitness Center

The Island Community Center is pleased to offer membership to our Fitness Center, open daily for your exercise needs. We have cardio equipment and free weights, accessible to members from 5am – 9pm. Drop-in rates are available during staffed hours.
